Half day workshop 35mm black & white film, developing and making prints.
This develop • print workshop is designed to kickstart your understanding of 35mm black and white film processing and enjoy a creative process in an afternoon! Everything you need for the workshop is included for this workshop: darkroom facility, chemistry, and printing materials. You just need to turn up with your exposed film canister or camera with exposed film still loaded.
Workshop Overview
This is a half day workshop (afternoon) – two people per workshop plus myself leading it. It begins at 12.00pm and ends at 4.00pm on a choice of dates provided on Eventbrite.
What is it for? To gain a practical overview of black and white film developing and printing or revisit the black and white darkroom environment.
Who is it for? Anyone over eighteen. Beginners or enthusiasts interested in learning about film/analogue processes. Anybody seeking a great, afternoon creative experience.

Workshop Includes:
- Chemistry: All materials and developing/fixing chemistry supplied.
- Printing Materials: Enlarger, paper and developing/fixing chemistry supplied.
Timetable for the day:
Primarily to help with time management throughout the day. Loo breaks, drinks and snack breaks are a given! Bottled water, tea and coffee included in workshop price.
- 12:00 pm – 1:45pm: Develop Your Film, allow to dry and choose frames for printing on light table
- 1:45 pm – 2:00 pm: Break
- 2:00 pm – 3:45 pm: Make Enlargements/Prints From Your Film (for you to take away!)
- 3:34 pm – 4:00 pm: Q&A, Feedback, and Finish.
